Workforce Development
Work Skills Training
Immigrants and refugees in California often have few options for work. Most involve low wages and inconsistent schedules, making it hard to support a family.
Our workforce development program partners learners with local companies in growing industries. In the Central Valley, many skilled positions currently go unfilled due to a lack of training. We bridge the gap between employer and employee, arranging for necessary training and supporting the migrant learner throughout the process.
As a result, migrants can gain important skills and experience necessary for a long-term career and employers benefit from a trained workforce.

Home Skills Training
Life in the US is often drastically different than life in migrants’ home countries. As such, there are a number of skills that migrants may benefit from practicing in order to live and work more effectively.
We offer training in relevant skills, including sewing, which prepare learners for home and professional environments.
